Hello I had a pelvic scan and the result is. Normal size,non-gravid anteverted uterus, with uniform myometrium and a demonstrable midline echo. The uterus measures about 7.2x4.0x4.6cm in size.there is evidence of pelvic fluid collection in the pouch of Douglas. What does this mean
Main finding is presence of fluid in POD(pouch of doughlas).Mild amount of fluid is normally found in POD during ovulation. However fluid in POD may be associated with pelvic inflammatory disease etc.Your condition need proper clinical examination and further investigations can be done if needed.
Other findings are normal. Uterus is normal in size and echo texture.Endomterium is also normal.
Hope I have answered your query. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
